BIA/Kelsey Launches GOLOCAL Awards Recognizing Local Marketing by National Brands

BIA/Kelsey has announced a call for entries for the GOLOCAL Awards, sponsored by Balihoo, a competition to identify the most successful local marketing initiatives deployed by national brands.

National brands are investing substantial dollars and resources to deploy local marketing programs. By 2017, BIA/Kelsey estimates national brands will spend $52.9 billion on their local marketing initiatives. The GOLOCAL Awards will recognize the most effective national-to-local marketing strategies.

Entries will be evaluated by a panel of expert judges, based on how effectively their marketing program fulfilled their stated objectives. Categories include sales/revenue, innovation and strategic use of digital marketing.

Deadline for entries is Wednesday, April 2, 2014, by 11:59 p.m. EDT. Finalists will be notified by April 9, 2014 and showcased at the upcoming LEADING IN LOCAL: National Impact conference, May 7-9, in Atlanta, where the winner will be announced.
